Public meeting on shared living in Stroud
In England, 2 out of every 5 bedrooms are not being slept in, creating a startling number of 30 million empty bedrooms. In the Stroud District alone, we have 25,000 more bedrooms than people. Maybe we don’t suffer from a housing shortage, but rather from unequal distribution. We believe that collectively we can tend to the housing crisis by encouraging people to have lodgers in their empty rooms - and this is why we are hosting this public meeting, with the participation of District and County Councillors from the Housing Committee.Join us on August 8th, 3-5pm at the Trinity Rooms, and do invite people who should know about this... especially if they have spare rooms ;)Local community organisers,
Jade Bashford and Louise Romain.
